Our Story

How Corpus Juris Was Built

Corpus Juris Legal was established in New Delhi with a clear purpose: to build a corporate law practice that combines the substantive depth of a large firm with the partner-led responsiveness that businesses actually need. It operates as a dedicated corporate law unit within Unified Chambers & Associates — a full-service chambers spanning corporate, commercial, criminal, and family law practice.

Our founding partners came from the top tier of the Delhi corporate bar — careers built across M&A transactions, Delhi High Court litigation, IBC proceedings, and regulatory practices at national and international firms. They left to build something different: a firm where the partner who advises you is the same person who drafts your documents, attends your board meetings, and appears in court on your behalf.

Today, Corpus Juris Legal advises more than 120 corporate clients across Delhi NCR and beyond — from pre-revenue startups navigating their first shareholder agreements to listed companies managing complex regulatory investigations. Every matter, regardless of size, receives the same treatment: senior legal thinking, written strategy memos, and predictable fees agreed in advance.

We are headquartered at Connaught Place — the commercial and legal heart of the capital — with presence across Cyber City Gurgaon and Sector 62 Noida to serve the full breadth of Delhi NCR's corporate ecosystem. Our courts of practice include the Delhi High Court, Supreme Court of India, NCLT Delhi, NCLAT, SAT, ITAT, and DRT.

Core Philosophy

What We Believe

Great legal counsel is not measured by documents produced or hours billed. It is measured by outcomes achieved and relationships sustained over decades. This belief shapes everything from how we staff matters to how we write our engagement letters.

Partner-Led, Always

The partner who signs your engagement letter is the partner who does your work. No matter the size of the transaction, no associate runs a client matter unsupervised. This is not a marketing promise — it is a structural commitment built into how we staff every engagement.

Sector Depth Over Breadth

We do not try to practice every area of law. Our 18 practice areas are each anchored by a specialist partner with a minimum of 15 years in that discipline. When a matter falls outside our coverage, we will tell you and refer you to the right counsel — even if that means a competitor firm.

Commercial Thinking First

Legal analysis is only valuable when it serves a business objective. We are trained lawyers who think like commercial advisors. Before we write a memo or draft a clause, we ask: what outcome does the client need, and what is the most efficient legal path to that outcome?

Fixed Fees & Transparency

We quote fees in writing before commencing work. We do not issue surprise invoices. If the scope of a matter changes, we renegotiate openly before incurring additional costs. Our clients know exactly what they are paying and why.

Confidentiality Is Absolute

Attorney-client privilege is not a clause in our engagement letter — it is the foundation of our practice. We do not discuss client matters externally, we do not use client situations as marketing anecdotes, and we destroy confidential documents at engagement close.

Integrity Over Revenue

We will decline work we are not qualified to handle, advise against transactions we believe are against your interests, and tell you when you are wrong — even when the comfortable answer is to agree. Our reputation is built on the quality of our advice, not the volume of our billings.
