Careers
We hire exceptional lawyers at every level — associates who want to build a serious corporate practice, senior lawyers who want to lead one, and paralegals who want to work on substantive corporate matters, not filing cabinets. We do not hire in bulk.
Why Work Here
A Different Kind of Firm
Most law firms describe themselves as places where good lawyers do excellent work. Very few actually structure themselves that way. Corpus Juris Legal was built by lawyers who had worked inside large firms and knew what needed to be different.
The difference begins with staffing. At Corpus Juris Legal, every matter has a named partner responsible for the quality of the legal work. That means every associate works directly with a partner who is accountable for the output — not a team leader who is accountable in theory. The quality standard is therefore constant, and the learning is real.
We believe that associates develop fastest when they are given genuine responsibility early, supported by direct mentorship, and surrounded by colleagues who hold each other to a high standard. We do not believe in piling junior lawyers with research tasks for three years before they are allowed near a client.
The result is a team where lawyers stay, grow, and build careers. Our average associate tenure is over four years — significantly above the Delhi NCR market average — because lawyers who join us are developing skills worth staying for.
Market-Competitive Compensation
Base salary and performance bonus at or above Tier-1 Delhi NCR firm benchmarks. Annual reviews with transparent, merit-based criteria. No lockstep system — high performers are rewarded early.
Direct Partner Mentorship
Every associate at Corpus Juris Legal is assigned a named partner as their primary mentor. Mentorship meetings are structured and regular — not ad hoc conversations when a partner has a free hour.
Real Responsibility from Day One
Associates manage client contact under partner supervision from their first instruction. You will not spend your first two years in a document room. We invest in your progression because your progression is our succession.
Continuing Legal Education
Firm-funded access to CPD programmes, bar council continuing education, and subscriptions to all major legal databases (SCC Online, Manupatra, Westlaw). New legislation is analysed and distributed firm-wide within 48 hours of publication.
Culture
How We Work
Focused Practice Area Development
We do not spread lawyers thin. You will be placed in one or two complementary practice areas and developed as a genuine specialist. This is a deliberate investment in your long-term market value.
Access to the Full Chambers Network
As a unit of Unified Chambers & Associates, you will have exposure to practitioners across corporate, commercial, criminal, and family law. Cross-practice learning opportunities are available for associates who want broader exposure.
Location & Flexibility
Our principal office is at Connaught Place, New Delhi. Associates are expected to be office-based given the court-facing nature of much of our work. Some flexibility is available for research-heavy roles. Offices are accessible from Rajiv Chowk metro, the central Delhi legal district, and all three NCR corridors.

Senior Associate — Corporate & M&A
We are looking for a senior associate to join the Corporate & M&A practice led by our Managing Partner. The role involves managing M&A transactions end-to-end — from due diligence through to closing — including shareholder agreements, share purchase agreements, SEBI regulatory filings, and CCI notifications. The successful candidate will have substantive transactional experience, strong drafting skills, and the ability to manage client relationships independently under partner guidance.
Key Requirements
- —LLB from a recognised law school; LLM preferred
- —5–8 years post-qualification corporate/transactional experience
- —Experience on at least 10 closed M&A or PE transactions
- —Strong drafting ability across SHA, SPA, NDA, and ancillary transaction documents
- —Knowledge of Companies Act 2013, SEBI LODR, FEMA, and Competition Act
Associate — Litigation & Dispute Resolution
Our dispute resolution practice is expanding and we are seeking an associate with commercial litigation experience to work alongside our senior litigation partner. The role involves drafting pleadings, research memos, and briefs for Delhi High Court commercial division matters, NCLT proceedings, and domestic arbitrations. You will get early exposure to high-value client matters and will be expected to attend hearings independently within the first year.
Key Requirements
- —LLB from a recognised law school
- —2–5 years advocacy experience before Delhi High Court or NCLT
- —Strong legal research and drafting skills
- —Experience in commercial disputes, IP litigation, or IBC proceedings preferred
- —Ability to manage research independently and meet court deadlines
Paralegal — Corporate & Compliance
We are hiring a paralegal to support the corporate and compliance team. The role involves document management for M&A transactions, MCA portal filings, compliance calendars for retained clients, due diligence coordination, and research support. This is a structured role that offers clear progression pathways and direct exposure to complex corporate work. Suitable for law graduates seeking substantive exposure before higher education or bar enrolment.
Key Requirements
- —Law graduate (LLB enrolled or completed)
- —1–3 years paralegal or legal operations experience preferred
- —Familiarity with MCA21, SEBI portal, and ROC procedures is an advantage
- —Proficiency in MS Office; DocuSign and Clio experience preferred
- —High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Research Intern
Corpus Juris Legal's research internship is a structured programme designed to give outstanding law students substantive legal research and drafting experience. Interns are assigned to a practice group and work directly with associates and partners on live matters — not administrative tasks. The internship runs for 4–12 weeks on a rolling basis and provides a performance-based stipend.
Key Requirements
- —Enrolled in a 5-year or 3-year LLB programme, 3rd year or above
- —Strong academic record
- —Ability to conduct rigorous legal research using SCC Online, Manupatra, and primary sources
- —Good written communication in English

01
Submit Your Application
Email your CV, covering letter, and two writing samples to careers@corpusjurislegal.com. Legal writing samples should be anonymised where necessary to remove client-identifying information.

Initial Review
All applications are personally reviewed by a partner — not filtered by HR software. If your profile is of interest, you will hear from us within five business days.
03
First Interview
A one-hour conversation with the partner leading the relevant practice area. This is a genuine discussion about your experience, your areas of interest, and whether there is a mutual fit — not a test.
04
Written Assessment
A short written exercise relevant to the practice area (1–2 hours). We are assessing legal reasoning and communication quality — not encyclopaedic knowledge of a specific statute.
05
Final Meeting
A meeting with the Managing Partner and one additional partner. Offers are typically made within three business days of the final meeting.
