This Cookie Policy explains what Corpus Juris Legal (“we”, “our”, “the firm”), a unit of Unified Chambers & Associates, stores in your browser when you visit www.corpusjurislegal.com (the “Website”), and how you control it. Please read it with our Privacy Policy.

1. Cookies and Browser Storage

Cookies are small text files a website places on your device. Local storage is a similar facility in your browser that lets a website keep small pieces of information between visits. This Policy covers both.

Until you make a choice on our cookie banner, the Website sets no cookies and stores only the two strictly necessary items listed below.

2. What We Use and Why

Strictly necessary

Two entries in your browser's local storage: one remembers your cookie choice, the other records that you have seen our Bar Council of India notice. They are not cookies, they are never sent to us or anyone else, and the Website needs them to respect your choices.

Analytics — only with your consent

If you click “Accept All”, we load Google Analytics 4, which sets the cookies listed below, and Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which measure visits and page performance without cookies. They help us understand which pages are useful and how the Website performs. If you click “Decline”, none of them loads.

4. Your Choice, and Changing It

On your first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics. You can choose:

Accept All — Google Analytics 4 and Vercel's cookieless analytics load;
Decline — no analytics load and no analytics cookies are set.

Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage under cjl-cookie-consent — not in a cookie — until you change it. To change it at any time, open Cookie Settings in the website footer.

If you switch to Decline, Google Analytics stops at once and its cookies are deleted from your browser, and Vercel's analytics are no longer loaded. If you clear your browser storage, the banner will ask you again.

5. Managing Cookies in Your Browser

You can also view, delete and block cookies and site data in your browser settings:

Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
Safari: Settings > Privacy > Manage Website Data
Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions

If you block or clear local storage, the Website cannot remember your choices, so the cookie banner and the Bar Council of India notice will appear again. The rest of the Website, including the contact form, keeps working.

6. Google Analytics

Google Analytics is provided by Google, which processes the data it collects on our behalf and may do so outside India — see section 6 of our Privacy Policy. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.

To opt out of Google Analytics on every website you visit, you can install Google's opt-out browser add-on from tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

7. Updates to This Policy

If we change what the Website stores or loads, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect, and ask for your consent again where it is needed.
