Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 · Section 115
(1) Whoever voluntarily causes hurt, if the hurt is not grievous, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine which may extend to ten thousand rupees, or with both.
